Search and Rescue Services Limited (SRSL) is an independent, not-for-profit air-ambulance and rescue helicopter operator established in 2018 by five regional rescue-helicopter trusts (Eastland, Hawke's Bay, Life Flight, Philips and Taranaki). It is contracted to Te Whatu Ora and ACC to deliver emergency helicopter EMS across central New Zealand from eight bases, mainly in the North Island.
SRSL has more than 150 pilots, critical-care paramedics and air-crew, and is rolling out a fleet of Airbus H145s alongside its existing H145/BK117s. The South Marlborough helicopter-landing concession reflects emergency-response operating range rather than commercial tourism work.
