Wings and Water is Fiordland's only seaplane operator and is based on the lakefront at Te Anau. The CAA-approved business is run by three pilots with more than 50 years of combined experience and over 17,000 flying hours between them, operating floatplanes rather than helicopters.
From Lake Te Anau they fly scenic floatplane trips over Fiordland National Park, including Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound and Milford Sound, plus shorter "Lakes Explorer" flights and "Mystery Flights". They run combination products like Fly 'n' Jet and Doubtful Sound Cruise & Fly, and provide transport charters for hunters, trampers and vessel support work.
