Amuri Helicopters Limited

Amuri Helicopters was established in 1989 to provide aerial agricultural services to North Canterbury, and has since grown to cover work nationwide. The company is based at Hanmer Springs and its leadership includes the chair of the New Zealand Aerial Agricultural Association.

Agricultural and aerial work remains the backbone of the business — spraying, sowing, frost control, wilding pine and aquatic weed control, surveying, lifting, firefighting and offshore island predator eradication. Alongside this, the operator runs scenic tours over the surrounding parks and valleys, hunting and fishing drop-offs and charter transfers to Molesworth Station, St James Station, Kaikoura and Waipara.
