Way To Go Heliservices was established in 2000 by chief pilot Rob, who brings more than 20 years of flying experience and a farming background. The company operates a fleet of six helicopters from Rangiora Airfield in Canterbury and also runs Mt Hutt Heliservices out of Mount Hutt.
Its agricultural work covers weed and wilding-pine control, fertiliser application, crop maintenance, controlled burns and frost protection. The adventure side includes heli-skiing, heli-biking, hunting and fishing charters, scenic tours, a "Magic Carpet Picnic", wine tours and bespoke flights. They also handle heavy-lift work, weddings and corporate charters, flight training, and DOC conservation projects.
