Heli-Hire Limited

Heli-Hire is a Rotorua-based helicopter operator working across the Bay of Plenty from a base at 93 Brake Road, Ngongotaha. The company runs a turbine-engine Eurocopter AS350B2 alongside a Hughes 500D and Robinson R44, with a second training base at Galatea.

Its work is split between aerial agriculture (fertiliser application, weed spraying, frost protection, precision lifting and controlled burn-offs), commercial work including firefighting and pest control, and a tourism arm offering scenic flights over the Rotorua lakes, Mount Tarawera, Taupo and Tauranga. Heli-Hire is also an NZQA-approved helicopter flight training school offering ab initio, advanced and sling endorsement training.
