Canterbury Aviation Limited

Canterbury Aviation is a privately owned scenic flight operator based near Christchurch and has been operating for about 20 years. The business is run by pilot Hugh Robinson, a local farmer with a hunting and fishing background, and is pitched as a flexible, off-the-beaten-track alternative to standard air safari packages.

The operator runs scenic flights across the South Island — Mt Cook and the West Coast glaciers, Milford Sound and Fiordland, and Kaikoura and the Marlborough Sounds — alongside private charter transfers, hunting and fishing charters, and TranzAlpine + scenic flight combo packages. Commercial work includes aerial survey, cargo transport and air freight.
