Heliventures NZ was established in 2009 and is owner-operated by Craig and Nicki McMillan. The company works from bases at Oamaru Airport and Pukaki Airport in Twizel, covering Otago, South Canterbury and the Mackenzie Country, with project work extending elsewhere in New Zealand and the Pacific.
Agricultural work includes aerial spraying, fertiliser application, seeding, wilding pine control, frost protection, fire lighting and mustering. Commercial services cover aerial shooting and other pest control, powerline work, firefighting, live animal capture, precision lifting, survey work and venison recovery. They also fly hunting trips, scenic flights, transfers and wedding flights from both bases.
