Kaikoura Helicopters operates scenic helicopter flights from a base in central Kaikoura on the upper east coast of the South Island. The company is part of GCH Aviation, a multi-base helicopter operator with locations across the South Island, and runs alongside the wider GCH scenic, charter and emergency services network.

The operation focuses on aerial whale watching, dolphin spotting and alpine landings around the Kaikoura coast and Seaward Kaikoura Range. Tours range from short 30-minute whale-watch flights up to a 90-minute Grand Alpine Tour and a two-hour Heli-Jet experience, alongside heli-picnics, Mt Fyffe summit landings and charter work.
