Alpine Heliski operates from bases in Queenstown and Wanaka in the Southern Lakes and runs as a directly owned heliski company rather than a booking agent. The fleet is built around AS350 B2/B3 helicopters, with the operation capped at four helicopters daily to keep group sizes small.
The winter season runs July to September, with access to around eight mountain ranges and more than 400 ski runs across thousands of hectares of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of varying ability. The operator offers regular daily heli-ski packages, private charter heli-ski days, equipment hire, accommodation transfers from Queenstown and an included mountain lunch.
