Fox Glacier Guiding is a family-owned glacier guiding company founded in 1974 by Mike and Carrol Browne, with additional shareholders joining in 2005. It is based at Fox Glacier township on State Highway 6 on the West Coast and has guided on the glacier for more than 50 years.
The operator's work is helicopter-accessed glacier hiking — Flying Fox and Extreme Fox All Day trips with 3–7 hours on the ice — along with ice climbing, guided walks and broader mountain experiences. They access multiple glacier altitudes which keeps trips running on around 80% of days, and all technical equipment is provided to clients.
