Kaweka Hunting is an owner-operated outfit running guided hunts out of a purpose-built lodge in the Puketitiri hill country, about 45 minutes inland from Napier in Hawke's Bay. The property sits on private land in remote North Island hill country, with red stag the headline animal and a long list of exotic species available as add-ons.
Hunts are package-priced by red stag SCI class on a 4-night, 1x1 guided format. Day rates, meals, accommodation and airport transfers are bundled into the trophy package. Add-on species sold via trophy fee include sika, fallow buck, sambar, rusa, elk, wild boar, ram, goat and whitetail; tahr and chamois are offered as a separate South Island fly-in special using helicopter access. Both rifle and bow hunts are accommodated.
The operation pairs game-preserve hunting on home country with options into wilder backcountry and a side fly-fishing offering, suiting international hunters wanting one base with broad species coverage.
