Tangitu Scenic Reserve

Ordinary126 haPermit: Permitted

Tangitu Scenic Reserve is a small 126 ha block in the Manawatu-Wanganui region, taken out under the Western King Country permit area. Elevations run from about 215 m up to 459 m, with a median around 328 m, so this is lowland to foothill bush country well below the bushline.

The block has an easterly and south-easterly lean, with about 25% of the country facing east and 22% south-east. Northerly and westerly aspects are limited. That gives a clear set of warm, sun-facing sidles dominating the block.

Game on the permit includes red deer, fallow deer, wild goat and wild pig. At this size it is a focused short-stalk block.
