Dillon
Dillon is a 5,272-hectare roar block on the Molesworth Station and Clarence grazing lease, sitting in the inland Marlborough country. Elevations run from 664 m to 1,992 m with a median of 1,105 m — country that sits right around the bushline through much of the block.
Thirty-nine per cent of the block sits above the 1,200 m bushline and 13% is alpine, putting it on the bush side of the mix-of-bush-and-tops bracket. The country leans west-facing, with strong west and north-west aspects that catch the afternoon sun and the prevailing nor-wester through the upper guts.
The permit covers red deer, chamois, wild goat and wild pig. Reds hold the bush edges and gully systems, chamois sit the rougher upper ridges, and pigs and goats spread through the scrub on the lower country.

What you can hunt here
This is a roar — the red deer roar peaks from late March into April, and competition for the block is highest then.
