Warawara Forest
Warawara Forest is one of Northland's biggest hunting blocks at 6,882 ha, sitting on the Hokianga's northern edge in remote inland country. Elevations run from 15 m up to 698 m with a median of 400 m, placing most of the block in foothill to mid-altitude bush below the bushline.
Aspect leans south-west, with strong shares also facing south, west and south-east. Warawara carries some of New Zealand's most significant intact kauri stands, with dense subtropical canopy across the whole block.
