Brynderwyn Hills Scenic Reserve is a compact 239 ha block in the Brynderwyn hill country of southern Northland. Elevations run from 29 m up to 313 m with a median of 156 m, putting the entire block in lowland and foothill bush.
Aspect leans south, with the strongest shares facing south and south-east. Cool, shaded faces hold the regenerating subtropical bush that covers the reserve, with broadleaf and regrowth canopy typical of the Brynderwyns.
Wild pig is the listed species, with no deer on the permit.
