Te Atuahauta Scenic Reserve is a 264 hectare public hunting block in the Gisborne/Raukumara permit area, eastern Bay of Plenty. Elevations run from 303 m up to 827 m, with a median of 458 m — lowland to mid-elevation bush country sitting below the bushline.

The block is bush-covered ground in the Raukumara-edge country. Slopes lean north-east on the dominant aspect, with a fair share of east and north faces giving warm sunlit sidles through much of the day.

Game on the permit includes red deer, wild goat and wild pig. The mix fits this block's place on the eastern Bay of Plenty bush range.
