Elevations run from 622 m to 1,038 m with a median of 814 m, putting it in hill country well below the bushline.
The block faces predominantly south, with strong south-west and south-east aspects giving a generally cool, shaded character to much of the country. Expect bush-clad faces and gully systems typical of the Waioeka back country.
