Telford Hunting NZ is Gerald Telford's Wanaka-based fishing and hunting service, founded in 1993 and working primarily across the Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea region of the lower South Island. Hunts target red stag, fallow buck, bull tahr, chamois, Arapawa sheep, feral goats, wild boar and wallaby.
The operating style is mountain spot-and-stalk mixed with stand/blind hunting, both rifle and bow. Pricing is in USD with packages built around four-day formats: a chamois wilderness hunt at US$8,500, combo chamois and red stag or fallow and red stag at US$12,500. Accommodation is at lakeside properties around Wanaka.
