Spey Creek Trophy Hunting
Kaikoura
Spey Creek Trophy Hunting is run by the McBride family on a ranch around 45 minutes from Kaikoura on the northeast coast of the South Island. The operation combines free-range and estate hunting across thousands of acres for red stag, elk, tahr, chamois, fallow buck, South Pacific Arapawa rams, feral goats and wild boar, plus small game and game birds.
The ranch is positioned as a Kaikoura-region trophy destination with both rifle and bow hunting catered for. Prices are not published — every trip is tailored, with a daily-rate-plus-trophy-fee structure quoted on enquiry.
US sales calls run via a Texas number alongside the NZ contact, so the operation is set up for travelling international trophy clients. Suited to hunters wanting a mixed free-range and estate trophy package out of the Kaikoura coast rather than the inland Mackenzie or Wanaka country.
