Manuka Point Lodge

Manuka Point Lodge sits on a 25,000-acre block in the Rakaia Valley, bordered by the Ragged Range, the Rakaia and Mathias rivers and the main divide of the Southern Alps to the west. The country is fair-chase South Island high country and the operation pitches itself on quality stalking rather than estate-style guarantees. Red stag, tahr and chamois are the headline species, with elk, fallow buck, Arapawa sheep, wild goat, wild bull and wild boar also on the board.

Hunts are lodge-based with professional hunting guides, structured as packaged red stag, tahr or combo trips priced in USD plus per-day hunter and observer rates. Trophy fees are tiered by SCI class with the heaviest stags and elk going to price-on-application. A private airfield on the lodge handles client transfers.

The lodge also holds DOC concessions for fishing and helicopter landings, supporting the alpine tahr and chamois work alongside the home-country stalking.
