Otangimoana Marginal Strip
Otangimoana Marginal Strip is a 353 hectare public hunting block in the Bay of Plenty. Elevations run from 622 m up to 720 m, with a median of 696 m — a tight mid-elevation band sitting well below the bushline.
The block has a narrow elevation range typical of marginal strips that follow a watercourse or boundary. Slopes lean south-west on the dominant aspect, with a spread of other faces giving variety in shaded and sunny country.
Game on the permit is red deer and sika. The sika entry makes the strip part of the wider central North Island sika range.
