The block sits as a mix of bush and tops, with 37% of the country above the 1,200 m bushline and 17% in alpine ground above 1,500 m. The dominant aspect is south-east, with a strong south-east bias overall, so the upper faces stay cool through the morning.
It carries red deer, tahr and chamois, with the reds in the lower bush and the alpine species working the higher faces and bluffs.
