Moki Conservation Area
Moki Conservation Area is a 3,604 ha block of Taranaki bush country under the Taranaki Forests permit area. Elevations run from about 23 m on the lower margins up to 441 m, with the median ground around 273 m, so the block stays well below the bushline throughout.
Aspect leans west, with strong shares also on south, south-west and north-west faces. Country here is broken bush typical of northern Taranaki — ridges, gully systems and stream-cut faces rather than open tops.
Game on the permit includes red deer, fallow deer, wild goat and wild pig. Four species and a useful footprint make this a solid multi-day option.
