The block is bush-covered ground around Lake Rotoma east of Rotorua. Slopes lean south-east on the dominant aspect, with a fair share of east and south faces giving shaded sidles through the day.
Game on the permit is red deer and wild pig. The country is timbered throughout — expect still-hunting in the bush rather than glassing.
