This is predominantly alpine country — 62% of the block sits above the 1,200 m bushline and 34% pushes into ground above 1,500 m. The dominant aspect is south-west, so the main faces sit shaded and into the prevailing weather.
The block carries red deer, tahr and chamois, with the alpine species working the high country and reds through the lower bush.

Air access is not permitted on this block, so parties climb out of the bush to reach the alpine ground. WARO is permitted on the block.
