Reel Hunting NZ is Jonathan Greer's Arrowtown-based hunting and fishing outfit covering the Queenstown Lakes and Wanaka regions. The operation offers big-game hunting — red stag, fallow buck, elk, tahr, chamois and small game — alongside fly fishing, using Arrowtown as a base for both activities across a large swathe of Central Otago and the surrounding Southern Alps.

Operating from Arrowtown puts Reel Hunting squarely in the heart of New Zealand's most tourist-saturated region, which suits hunters travelling with non-hunting partners. While one member of the party hunts, another can be on the Queenstown tourist trail — jet boating, wine touring, bungee jumping. Jonathan can coordinate accommodation across the region to suit both types of visitor.

The business also runs a shooting range, which is useful for hunters arriving from offshore who want to zero a hired rifle or shake off jet lag before heading into the field.
