Te Paparahi Conservation Area is a 3,383 ha block on Great Barrier Island (Aotea) in the Hauraki Gulf. Elevations run from near sea level up to 522 m with a median of 166 m, placing the block in lowland and foothill island bush.

Aspect is broadly spread, with the strongest shares facing south, north, east and north-east. The block carries the subtropical island bush typical of Aotea — kanuka, broadleaf and regenerating canopy threading across ridges and gully systems.

Wild pig is the only listed species, in line with the rest of Great Barrier.
