Dome Forest Conservation Area is a 335 ha block in the Dome range north of Auckland. Elevations run from 93 m up to 336 m with a median of 210 m, placing the whole block in lowland to foothill bush well below the bushline.
Aspect is broadly spread, with the strongest shares facing south-east, north, east and south-west — no single dominant face. The block carries subtropical regenerating bush typical of the Dome country.
Wild goat is the only listed species — no pigs on this block's permit. That makes Dome a focused goat block.
