Southern Peaks Safaris is run by Sam and Shawnee Radovonich, hunting deep into the Southern Alps for trophy class stags, bull tahr, chamois, fallow and Arapawa ram. The country worked is high-altitude, cliffed and broken — clients should expect real mountain hunting rather than estate work.
Packages are 5-day, 4-night formats built around a 360-380 SCI class red stag, with combo options pairing the stag with a tahr or fallow. Trophy fees are USD and scaled by SCI score; a 30% non-refundable deposit secures dates.
The operation targets fit hunters comfortable with steep tussock and rock; trips run March through May for stags and extend to July for tahr.
