NZ Hunting Guide is Andrew Christmas, working private wilderness blocks in the Central North Island near Tongariro National Park out of Taupo. The operation is built around free-range, free-chase hunts on private land rather than estate hunting.
Main species are red deer, fallow, Arapawa ram, wild pig and feral goat, with wing shooting and small game by request. Hunters stay in self-contained huts on the blocks, accessed by 4WD, and hunt from the door across native bush and tussock country with views to the volcanic plateau.
