This is short, low river-margin country leaning west — bush remnants, scrub and farmland edges along the lower Taieri. The block is small enough to cover comfortably on foot in a short trip, and the open aspect makes for straightforward glassing.
Game on the permit is wild goat and wild pig. Without ungulate deer on the permit, the block is essentially a goat-and-pig stalk in lowland river-margin cover.
