Minaret Station
Wanaka · Minaret Station, 10 Lloyd Dunn Avenue, Wanaka Airport, Wanaka 9343, New Zealand
Minaret Station is the Wallis family operation tucked into a remote glacial valley on the west side of Lake Wanaka, accessed only by helicopter. The lodge has four chalets and runs as a luxury alpine retreat with guided hunting, heli-skiing, hiking and mountain biking on offer.
For hunting, Minaret holds two WARO (helicopter hunting) concessions across a huge South Island footprint — Aoraki/Mt Cook, Geraldine, North Canterbury, Twizel, Nelson Lakes, South Marlborough, Central Otago, Te Anau, Wakatipu and the full West Coast. Quarry is the standard alpine trio of red deer, tahr and chamois, taken across the family's station country and the WARO concession blocks.
Lodge bookings include the helicopter transfer in and out. Pricing is not posted — guided hunts are quoted as part of a lodge stay package.
