Ample Hunting is a family-run free-range and estate operation on a Te Karaka property in the Gisborne district, focused on red stag trophies graded by SCI score. Brian Holdsworth's operation runs five-day all-inclusive packages covering lodging, meals, guides, airport transfers and trophy prep, with March and April slots filled in groups of two to four hunters.
Alongside red stag they offer fallow buck, Pacific (feral) goats, Arapawa rams, plus complimentary duck and turkey shooting bundled with trophy packages. Pricing is in USD and tiered into Gold, Elite and Elite Plus packages by SCI class, with a 30% non-refundable deposit.
This is a North Island option suited to hunters who want a mid-range trophy red stag rather than the marquee South Island alpine combo packages, with the family-farm logistics, mixed free-range/estate access, and bird and trout add-ons built in.
