Fairmead Hunting Experience

Fairmead Hunting Experience runs a fenced game park at Kai Iwi, about 40km from Whanganui, focused on trophy and management fallow bucks, plus a limited number of sika stags and Arapawa rams. The operation is a single-block walk-in hunt with accommodation at the Totara Ridge Hut, which sleeps four and is fully catered.

Weekends run Friday evening to Sunday morning with a base fee of $500 NZD for one hunter, capped at four hunters per group. Trophy fees are clearly published per animal and split into trophy and management tiers — field dressing and head skinning are included in the base package.

Prices are NZD inclusive of GST. It's a North Island park-style hunt suited to fallow and sika trophy clients who want predictable pricing and a short turnaround from Whanganui rather than a multi-day backcountry alpine trip.
